How Proactol XS Actually Works – A Detailed Study about the Science Behind Its Ingredients!

All supplements claim to be effective. Often times you end up buying a supplement just from the popularity of it alone! If you have heard that it works, you may not care to know what is in it and exactly how it is affecting your body.

But, we believe that knowing how a supplement works with your body can help you make it work even better for you. That’s why we want to talk about the Proactol XS ingredients and how they interact with your body to produce the weight loss results you want.

The Main Ingredient In Proactol XS

Chitosan is the main ingredient in Proactol XS. There are two essentials that make up this ingredient: biopolymer D-glucosamine and N-acetyl-D-glucosamine.

A polymer simply means a molecule, and that molecule can be either synthetic or natural. A biopolymerclinically proven fat binder is a molecule that is natural and produced by living organism.

Cellulose, which you probably see in a lot of your food, is the most popular biopolymer around.

The following two ingredients create the biopolymer known as chitosan:

1. N-acetyl-D-glucosamine – This is an organic compound made of acetic acid (the acid in vinegar) and glucosamine (an amino sugar).

2. D-glucosamine – This is an amino sugar. It is known as one of the most abundant basic units of carbohydrates (others are glucose and fructose). While it can be produced through the hydrolysis of shells of shellfish, it can also be produced by fermentation of corn or wheat (which is what Proactol XS uses).

How Does Chitosan Promote Weight Loss?

Those two ingredients may not sound like a weight loss miracle, but chitosan has some positive effects for dieters, which is why it is becoming more popular in weight loss supplements such as Proactol XS.

Chitosan helps to minimize fat absorbed from food. Essentially, it is a dietary fiber that absorbs between 6-10 times its weight in fat and oils. It does this before the fat reaches the intestines and, therefore, it doesn’t give the fat a chance to be metabolized.

In short, it can help you lessen the amount of fat you take into your body as you eat and give you other weight loss benefits of fiber, such as helping you to feel fuller faster.

One of the reasons chitosan is so popular is because it allows you to keep eating your normal diet. You don’t have to change the foods you eat to experience a benefit from chitosan.

It simply binds to fat in your food and creates a molecule that is too big to be absorbed. This means that the fat passes through you instead of entering your body, and you are able to absorb less fat from your food.

However, if you combine chitosan with a healthier diet, you can really speed up results. The less fat in your diet, the less fat that will be absorbed overall. Chitosan will still bind to fat in your meals and help minimize overall fat intake.

Some people warn that because chitosan is a fat-binder, it also prevents the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins. However, not all fat is passed through the intestinal system unabsorbed.

There is still some fat being absorbed (which is needed for overall good health). You are simply reducing the overall amount absorbed.

Are There Other Ingredients In Proactol XS?

Chitosan is the main ingredient in the supplement to aid with fat loss. One other ingredient is magnesium stearate, which is used to bulk up supplements that contain potent active ingredients such as chitosan. It has no effect on weight loss.

Also, silica is an ingredient used. It is a naturally occurring mineral found in soil that is thought to promote health blood vessel walls, but in supplements it is usually used to ensure that the powder stays free flowing.

There Are Not Many Proactol XS Ingredients

Chitosan is the main ingredient found in this dietary supplement. When you strip it of fancy words and uses, it is a fiber that binds to fat and helps you keep full. In studies, Proactol XS has had better results than other fat binders, which is why it is so popular!

The good news is that because there are so few ingredients in Proactol XS, there is also no lactose, cholesterol, milk protein, or gluten.

Anyone trying to lose weight will appreciate that! Those extra ingredients can sometimes interact with the body’s hormones in a negative way and make weight loss much harder.
